We hope that everyone had a fabulous Christmas with family and friends. Ours was quiet, but we still had our share of fun and celebration.
Christmas Eve was spent with our cousins and aunt and uncle. Oh how the girls love spending time with their cousins! Dinner was awesome. The girls were too excited to eat much so they had to have a late night snack of goldfish.
Christmas Day the girls were up bright and early asking if Santa had come. We tortured them by making them wait upstairs with us until we crawled out of bed and brushed our teeth. It was so cute to watch them open their gifts. They are very gracious gift openers. Especially Jordyn; we have never seen someone more excited to open socks. So precious!!! India got her Superman and Jordyn her Train :-)
Enjoy your holiday week! We are anxiously awaiting Grandma and Grandpa's arrival on Tuesday.
Love,
Linwood, Sara, India, and Jordyn

Visit to see Santa
We went to see Santa at the "Ice Palace" in Cherry Creek Mall.
Here is the final product.... (It wasn't supposed to be a family picture but Jordyn was scared to get close to Santa, even though she couldn't get enough of him from a distance, so we just went with it).
But it was a process to get there. We waited in line for an hour and a half. They did a great job of making sure there was plently to do along the way. They earned bonus points because the entire line was baracaded so little ones can't escape.
The entrance to the line.
Posing by a Christmas Tree.
Jordyn, still waiting in line.
India still waiting and playing.
Playing in the falling snow inside the palace. (This is only a few moments before India decided to make snow angels. We will be picking snow out of her hair for weeks and the other parents were not happy with the trend she started.)

Jordyn can't contain her excitement as Daddy joins us in line.
Sitting on the ice throne, right before we saw Santa.

The final countdown
We are on the final countdown until Christmas morning! Jordyn says that she is excited about "toys" and India says "superman." (We are hoping that Walmart delivers to our door in time to make India's wish come true.) We are also excited about Grandma and Grandpa coming to visit after Jesus' Birthday.
This past weekend we went to Downtown Golden for a Christmas parade. Cousin Cenika met us and we got to go for a ride in a dog sled. Jordyn was into it up until it was time to get into the sled. She is a big dog lover from a distance. They also had carriage rides, but it was a really cold day and we were chilled to the bone so we didn't get to take advantage of that.
Our favorite songs this Christmas season are "Jingle Bells" sung by Pooh and Tigger and "Feliz Navidad" sung by Dora. We don't have a video, but we can testify that the more the girls like a song, the louder they sing it.
We Love You!!!!

India took a portrait of her turtle. He also starred in a few videos.

Two weeks until Christmas!
Our house is just a bussle of excitement these days! Both girls have been fighting a bug. India is better and Jordyn is on antibiotics for a double ear infection so she is feeling better too. Last week she had to spend a few hours at work with mommy. As you can see she jumped right in!
We went to Denver's Firefighters Museum on Saturday afternoon to see "Firefighter Santa." The girls had their pictures taken by a photographer from a local paper, we'll see if they made the cut :-) They had a lot of fun dressing in firefighter uniforms, sliding down the pole, pretending to drive a fire engine, and other fun activities. India told Santa she wants a Superman outfit and Jordyn said that she wanted toys.
It is uncharacteristically warm here this season. Today and tomorrow it will be in the low 60's (sorry to those of you feeling the cold arctic air).
We love you!
Merry Christmas!

Thanksgiving Break
We hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Oh how we love being off, spending time together, and taking advantage of the fun things going on in our city. Not only did we get to have a fun-filled Thanksgiving...we also went downtown for their "Light the lights" ceremony where they turn on the lights to the capital building, went to Zoo Lights, and had a sleep over with Cousin Cenika. Unfortunately these activities all happened later in the evening so we had some cranky, tired girls getting woken up this morning. Guess that was mommy and daddy's reality check. As much as we love to go-go-go and take advantage of everything that has to do with Christmas, the little ones still need their rest. Three weeks of school, then it's Christmas Break! Oh how we love this time of year!!!
The night of the sleepover. Believe it or not, they did actually end up in their own beds and slept all night.
