How Long...

has it been since we've updated this webpage? Sorry for the delay. The past month has been full of excitement! Grandma and Grandpa Zutell came to visit. India had a wonderful time playing at her first parade. The bubble machine in the kid's area was by far the highlight. She ran around chasing the bubbles and laughing with all of the other kids, it was so cute! She continues to amaze us everyday with her knowledge and curiosity to learn. Just this morning we were getting ready to eat breakfast and say our grace. Normally we hold hands and bow our heads and India stares at us while she fights to gain possession of her hand back. This morning in the hustle and bustle of trying to get to church on time I just stood beside her and started to pray. She grabbed my hand, closed her eyes, and bowed her head. Reverence for God at 17 months old...proud parents!

Summer 2008

It's been an exciting summer that is coming to a end. I'm taller now and seem to be much smarter. I can walk much better and even run if I wanna do something in a hurry. I can say words from shoe to fish and many others if you ask. I can also do some American Sign Lanquage words like more, please, no, yes, finish and thank you.

I'm only taking one nap a day like a big girl, however when mom's attitude comes out of me that will let you know if I need two naps.

I help in the garden, help dad wash the car and my dad is giving me driving lessons so I can drive myself to the pool next summer.

This new baby thing cracks me up especially when I poke him every morning before my mom picks me up out my crib. The thought of being a big sister sounds good, just know I don't plan on sharing my ice cream dates with my dad.

Today was the last gymnastics class for our little gymnist. I am not so sure about the coordination yet, but she definately has enough energy and spunk for us all!

Summer fun...having a blast!

Summer in Colorado is quickly coming to an end. We already return to school August 7, it just doesn't seem possible!!!! We are taking full advantage of our last few weeks....going to the aquarium, continuing with our swimming and gymnastics lessons, and fighting off naps to get in extra play time. India's new hobbies include throwing things (a skill she just realized she has), doing sommersaults off of her little chair, running, laughing, and ripping pages out of any book she can find. She is such a great baby who is already showing her kind heart and incredible love of people.

The new baby is also doing well, growing and getting more active everyday. There are 2 preggo pictures here...one at 20 weeks and one at 23 1/2 weeks.

We love you!!!

Walking around the yard

Summer Time cont....

It's Summer Time!!

I've really been enjoying myself doing lots of fun activities with my parents. They have really kept me busy! I helped Mommy twist my Daddy's hair and went shopping with Mommy for Daddy's Father's Day gift. It was hard to keep a secret from Daddy until that morning. I took my first nap in my big girl bed. I had a little trouble falling asleep but it was fun to wake up and be able to play with my toys.

I hope you all enjoyed the celebration of lights during Independence Day. I was up late for two nights in a row so that I could see the fireworks. It was so much fun!!

I've had many visits to the park, playing on the slide and flying a kite with my Dad. Sometimes I just sit and play in the mulch to take a break from my day. My visits to the pool on hot days have been a good adventure, even though my Dad makes me drive myself home. I really look forward to my official swimming lessons that start on Monday. Sometimes I have to stay home and play in the yard but as you see I'm walking a little better now. I can even run from time to time.

Well, I'm going to go now. Time for a nap in my big girl bed.

New Baby Ultrasound

We went for our 5 month ultrasound today and everything looks great. The baby was active and moving all over the place...so much so that it was difficult for them to get the pictures they needed. Looks like we might have another wiggle worm on our hands! The technician was very good about not telling us the sex. Linwood knows but I don't, so if you want to know you'll have to call him. Surprisingly he has done an excellent job of playing up both sides so that I don't know.

Here are some of the ultrasound pictures that they gave us. There are 2 of the baby's profile...one with his/her mouth open. There is one that is the arm and leg and a 3D picture of the baby's face.

Walking

Laughing During Lunch

Summer is officially here:)

School has been out for a few weeks and I think it's been almost a month since any snow has fallen in Colorado. I think it's safe to say that summer is here:) India has been a growing, joyful ball of energy. She is loving spending her days playing at the park, going swimming, and working on her walking skills. Of course this practice has led to a few more bumps and bruises. You wouldn't believe how tough this girl is!!! Just today she was walking in a parking lot, fell down and kept on going. We didn't realize until she got in the car that she scraped her knee (yes there was even a little bit of blood) and had two little marks on her toes. She didn't fuss at all....not even during bathtime later. India continues to talk up a storm and she is singing now too. We don't know exactly what is coming out of her mouth but it is such a sweet sound!! Her favorite summer foods are definately strawberries and raspberries. That is all she would eat if she had the choice.

As far as the baby to be....all is well. We are 18 weeks and the heartrate remains around 170 bpm. We have our 5 month ultrasound on June 30th and Linwood says he can't wait to see his son:) We'll see. There's a belly pic attached. I am still waiting for the "feel good" second trimester to kick in. I have had cold symptoms and been really tired so far with this one.

More fun pictures

14 months old

Finally the summer has begun!! And boy are we busy! India has been helping Mommy clean around the house, helping Daddy work on projects, and playing with the neighbor. She has graduated to a "big girl" carseat and can now face front and see what's going on around her. She also has a "big girl" bed in her room now. We are hoping that she gradually gets used to it and wants to sleep in it. She is making gradual but consistent progress towards joining the rest of us walkers. She will stand up and take 5 or 6 steps before plopping back down. India wants to say "hi"....ds svssssssssssssssssssss N Z F a AaSHAR. All fun and games til she rips a key off.

Well, we must be going. Take care!

We love you and miss you!

The Babies are Growing

Hello Everyone!

We hope you are all doing well. We are doing great - getting ready for our summer vacation. Even India knows that something exciting is about to happen. She is getting braver in her attempts to walk. She takes a few steps while lunging for the closest body or piece of furniture. We have been working with her and she will walk across the room holding the handle of a spoon...anyday now! She has a few favorite books that she wants read over and over and over again. As soon as you finish reading and put the book down she picks it back up and hands it to you. If you don't read, she fusses. She has also moved on to a new set of favorite foods. Teddy Grahams are now her favorite snack and she loves broccoli with cheese.

The other baby is doing well also. Last Monday we heard the heartbeat and it was in the high 160s to 171. The sickness and tiredness is finally passing and Mom is feeling like a human being again. We think this one is going to be a boy...tonight she craved a BLT and hasn't eaten bacon in years.

We Love you all!

Spring is in the air!

With every passing day India is becoming more and more fun. My school had another fire this year so I had the opportunity to spend some extra days home with her. Some of our favorite activities include chasing each other around, tickling, laughing, reading, and dancing. India has become quite the dancer. She is now moving her feet and body in addition to her head. It is absolutely adorable to watch!!! She also was able to play outside this week. India and Daddy love to go for walks with her red wagon. Much to our delight she doesn't mind getting down and dirty....if only we could convince her not to eat rocks(don't worry, she hasn't swallowed any). Life is grand! We are counting the days to our summer vacation.

We love you!!!!

Big Sister

I have news!!! I am going to be a big sister. I'm not exactly sure what that means but everyone is making a really big deal about it. Supposedly there's a baby coming to our house on November 15th. I just hope he/she doesn't think he can play with my toys and sleep in my room. Now that I'm a big sister I've had to take on more responsibility around the house, such as folding the laundry. I think life is going to change very soon.

Wish me luck!

Hangin' Out, Growin' Up

Since my birthday I've been through a lot. I had to get 4 shots at my one year checkup and they made me kind of sick. Also, I got 4 new teeth and 2 more are on their way. I am still taking my time with walking but probably will soon since my Mommy and Daddy have stopped pressuring me about it. My Mommy just turned 30 and Daddy flew out Chrissy and LauraLee to play with us. They are lots of fun!!!! I have also been talking up a storm. Nobody seems to know what I'm saying but I keep talking anyway.

I love you all and miss you a lot!
