Big Sister In 4 Weeks!!!
The time is getting closer for India to be a big sister! We had a doctor's appt. this week and everything looks great with the baby. His or her head is down and we are 2 cm dilated and 50% effaced. Of course we found out with India that this doesn't mean anything about when the baby will arrive, but it's a good sign that my body is preparing for labor. Any progress now is less time it will take at the hospital.
India is enjoying her final days as an only child. She has been coloring, painting, playing in the leaves, playing at the park, going to the zoo, and can go up AND down the steps by herself now. You can also see from the picture below that she is perfecting her sign language (she is telling Daddy that she loves him). We have also been taking trips to the library. Her favorite book is a Dora book about being a big sister. She looks at it all the time but doesn't want any help reading it, she can do that on her own :)
We love you and miss you!

Mountain Excursion
It turns out India is a nature lover just like the rest of the family. We went up into the mountains to see the elk and she had a ball! They were right beside the road and she hung out the window and yelled at them.
As of the past few weeks she is running more than she is walking, saying "hi" and giving high fives to anyone willing, and laughing like crazy. We are talking to her more and more about being a big sister, however she still doesn't seem to understand. In five weeks she will have quite a surprise coming to live with her! India had her 18 month checkup last Friday and she is completely healthy and normal for her age. She is in the 40th percentile for weight and 85th percentile for height. Looks like Daddy is going to have his basketball player! Her words are still more her language than English but she is trying to repeat what we say more and more. She knows the parts of her body....toes, knees, nose, eyes, ears, etc. Most noteworthy though is her favorite song; "The Wheels on the Bus."
We love you and miss you all! Don't forget about our open invitation to come visit around Christmas time.

18 months
My parents say that in 49 days there will be another human being living in our house!! Lord knows we don't need more estrogen in this house!! So were hoping that India has a little brother. If not I guess God will have to have more mercy on daddy.
I was sick the last few days and no one got much sleep here because I wasn't going to be the only person awake when I won't feeling good.
I have a big girl bed in my room but I haven't been sleeping in it yet. I just hope they don't think I'm giving up my crib for someone we don't even know.
(LOL)
My favorite thing to do is get my books out and read. I like to dump all my blocks out on the floor to watch my dad step on them and yell "ouch!"
I can climb up and off of anything I choose. Playing in the dirt and with rocks are pretty fun too, they just don't taste good.
I give my friends high fives when I leave the day care because my dad says I can only kiss family till I'm 30.
Along with this new person coming to live with us I was told that family is coming to see us for the holidays, so I will be looking forward to seeing everyone!
We Love You bunches!!!

How Long...
has it been since we've updated this webpage? Sorry for the delay. The past month has been full of excitement! Grandma and Grandpa Zutell came to visit. India had a wonderful time playing at her first parade. The bubble machine in the kid's area was by far the highlight. She ran around chasing the bubbles and laughing with all of the other kids, it was so cute! She continues to amaze us everyday with her knowledge and curiosity to learn. Just this morning we were getting ready to eat breakfast and say our grace. Normally we hold hands and bow our heads and India stares at us while she fights to gain possession of her hand back. This morning in the hustle and bustle of trying to get to church on time I just stood beside her and started to pray. She grabbed my hand, closed her eyes, and bowed her head. Reverence for God at 17 months old...proud parents!

Summer 2008

It's been an exciting summer that is coming to a end. I'm taller now and seem to be much smarter. I can walk much better and even run if I wanna do something in a hurry. I can say words from shoe to fish and many others if you ask. I can also do some American Sign Lanquage words like more, please, no, yes, finish and thank you.
I'm only taking one nap a day like a big girl, however when mom's attitude comes out of me that will let you know if I need two naps.
I help in the garden, help dad wash the car and my dad is giving me driving lessons so I can drive myself to the pool next summer.
This new baby thing cracks me up especially when I poke him every morning before my mom picks me up out my crib. The thought of being a big sister sounds good, just know I don't plan on sharing my ice cream dates with my dad.

Summer fun...having a blast!

Summer in Colorado is quickly coming to an end. We already return to school August 7, it just doesn't seem possible!!!! We are taking full advantage of our last few weeks....going to the aquarium, continuing with our swimming and gymnastics lessons, and fighting off naps to get in extra play time. India's new hobbies include throwing things (a skill she just realized she has), doing sommersaults off of her little chair, running, laughing, and ripping pages out of any book she can find. She is such a great baby who is already showing her kind heart and incredible love of people.
The new baby is also doing well, growing and getting more active everyday. There are 2 preggo pictures here...one at 20 weeks and one at 23 1/2 weeks.
We love you!!!

It's Summer Time!!

I've really been enjoying myself doing lots of fun activities with my parents. They have really kept me busy! I helped Mommy twist my Daddy's hair and went shopping with Mommy for Daddy's Father's Day gift. It was hard to keep a secret from Daddy until that morning. I took my first nap in my big girl bed. I had a little trouble falling asleep but it was fun to wake up and be able to play with my toys.
I hope you all enjoyed the celebration of lights during Independence Day. I was up late for two nights in a row so that I could see the fireworks. It was so much fun!!
I've had many visits to the park, playing on the slide and flying a kite with my Dad. Sometimes I just sit and play in the mulch to take a break from my day. My visits to the pool on hot days have been a good adventure, even though my Dad makes me drive myself home. I really look forward to my official swimming lessons that start on Monday. Sometimes I have to stay home and play in the yard but as you see I'm walking a little better now. I can even run from time to time.
Well, I'm going to go now. Time for a nap in my big girl bed.
We Love You!!

New Baby Ultrasound

We went for our 5 month ultrasound today and everything looks great. The baby was active and moving all over the place...so much so that it was difficult for them to get the pictures they needed. Looks like we might have another wiggle worm on our hands! The technician was very good about not telling us the sex. Linwood knows but I don't, so if you want to know you'll have to call him. Surprisingly he has done an excellent job of playing up both sides so that I don't know.
Here are some of the ultrasound pictures that they gave us. There are 2 of the baby's profile...one with his/her mouth open. There is one that is the arm and leg and a 3D picture of the baby's face.
We love you!

Summer is officially here:)

School has been out for a few weeks and I think it's been almost a month since any snow has fallen in Colorado. I think it's safe to say that summer is here:) India has been a growing, joyful ball of energy. She is loving spending her days playing at the park, going swimming, and working on her walking skills. Of course this practice has led to a few more bumps and bruises. You wouldn't believe how tough this girl is!!! Just today she was walking in a parking lot, fell down and kept on going. We didn't realize until she got in the car that she scraped her knee (yes there was even a little bit of blood) and had two little marks on her toes. She didn't fuss at all....not even during bathtime later. India continues to talk up a storm and she is singing now too. We don't know exactly what is coming out of her mouth but it is such a sweet sound!! Her favorite summer foods are definately strawberries and raspberries. That is all she would eat if she had the choice.
As far as the baby to be....all is well. We are 18 weeks and the heartrate remains around 170 bpm. We have our 5 month ultrasound on June 30th and Linwood says he can't wait to see his son:) We'll see. There's a belly pic attached. I am still waiting for the "feel good" second trimester to kick in. I have had cold symptoms and been really tired so far with this one.
We love you!!!!

14 months old

Finally the summer has begun!! And boy are we busy! India has been helping Mommy clean around the house, helping Daddy work on projects, and playing with the neighbor. She has graduated to a "big girl" carseat and can now face front and see what's going on around her. She also has a "big girl" bed in her room now. We are hoping that she gradually gets used to it and wants to sleep in it. She is making gradual but consistent progress towards joining the rest of us walkers. She will stand up and take 5 or 6 steps before plopping back down. India wants to say "hi"....ds svssssssssssssssssssss N Z F a AaSHAR. All fun and games til she rips a key off.
Well, we must be going. Take care!
We love you and miss you!
