Coming Soon....Baby Gates

Just when we thought India couldn't get any cuter.... here we go again! Going to the babysitter has really helped her social skills, she's now talking to anything that smiles at her. Don't get it wrong, we're still her favorite people:)

The world of solid foods is very exciting...we've progressed from green beans to sweet potatoes, to peas, and now she is eating bananas. She loves bananas! The first night we fed them to her she ate almost an entire banana herself. Of course I should have been a better monitor because she ended up with a belly ache.

India's days consist of eating, drinking, rolling, sucking on her fingers and occassionally her thumb(somehow she found it without your help Gram:)), grabbing any and everything in front of her, skootching across the floor, reading, trying to eat books, and playing in the tub. She has almost mastered sitting up alone. Once she's up she always gets distracted, lunges for something that catches her eye, and falls over.

We love and miss you all. We don't have any big plans for this holiday weekend so feel free to stop by and visit:)

Cute Smile

...and you have to have a picture of my smile instead of just the funny faces I make and funny places I go...

Wiggle Worm Washington

India has earned a new nickname, Wiggle Worm Washington. She seems to be constantly moving. She moves in her sleep, while she eats, as she plays,....all the time she is moving! We have found her sleeping with her arm hanging out of the crib. The other night we even found her with her legs hanging out the side of the crib. We couldn't resist taking a picture of this:)

India has also begun eating some baby foods. She started with cereal and this week she had her first real food...green beans. She's not sure whether she likes them or not. You can see by her pictures that her initial reaction is not that pleasant. For some reason she keeps asking for more. What she really wants is food off of our plates. She is constantly grabbing at our plates and food. Sometimes Daddy gets weak and lets her have a handful.

All of this food has made India pretty strong. She can grab and lift just about anything. See her carry her playmat? These are all good signs for her becoming the basketball player her Daddy knows she will be.

We miss you all and love you even more,

4 Month Checkup

India had her 4 month checkup today and she couldn't be healthier. She is 14 1/2 lbs. and 25 inches tall. She did have to get another round of shots but handled it like a pro.

Other exciting news, she has been eating cereal for a little over a week. She has finally started to swallow it instead of pushing it all back out of her mouth. I will say that she is going to be one of those kids that needs a plastic lining all around their highchair. As she takes a bite she likes to make "raspberries" sending most of the cereal back at the feeder. She also thinks she should be able to feed herself and this results in quite a mess. All of it is so fun though!!

We are having a ball together and enjoying our last week together before school starts. Yesterday she climbed the Red Rocks stairs with her family. She wanted to keep going but Mommy was tired.

We love you!

4 months old

We can't believe our little baby is 4 months old! Time has gone by so fast! India goes for her 4 month check up on August 6 so we'll keep you updated.

As of now, one of India's new favorite toys is her feet. She is always trying to put them in her mouth. She hasn't been successful but you can imagine how hazardous this game is in the bathtub. She also has gotten a "jumperoo." We didn't want to spoil her but you should have seen how adorable she looked jumping around in the store...who could resist! We justified that she needed her exercise and splurged. As you can see from the picture it is well worth it!

India is also becoming more and more of a daddy's girl everyday. I swear they are starting to even think alike.

We love you bunches and miss you,

I'm Mobile!

Hello Everyone! It has been a hot week in CO. We spent most of our time indoors reading, talking, and practicing new skills. There is now no guarantee that India will be where you placed her last. She is rolling around and scootching all over the place. Like the rest of the family she enjoys watermelon and push-up pops:) (Just kidding)

We Love You All,

We have been back in Colorado for a week after a wonderful trip to the east coast. We enjoyed spending time with you all and India wond't stop talking about how much she misses you. She also keeps talking about Kathy and John's wedding and how much fun she had:) We'll post pictures from the trip soon.

This week has been full of excitement. We've been playing with all of our toys, went swimming for the first time, and saw a lot of fireworks(right in our own backyard). India is laughing out loud everyday and enjoying the good life of a baby.

We love you and miss you all already,

All smiles...almost

We are getting ready for our trip back to the East Coast. India asks that everyone be practicing their favorite songs and dances to perform for her. That is her favorite thing to do right now...watch Mommy and Daddy perform and act silly for her. Seems like she grew about 3 inches while she slept last night so be ready for how grown up she is getting.
She is becoming a pro at tummy time, you can see her commando stance in the picture. There are also other adorable quirks starting to come out...like when she sits at the table with us she pretends to chew while we're eating...there's the occasional belly laugh that makes us melt...except for late night feedings she always wakes up with a smile on her face.

Parenting just gets better and better with each passing day!

Two months old

This has been an exciting week for Ms. India. She made a trip up the highest paved road in North America at Mt. Evans, almost had a heart attack as Detroit lost in triple overtime (she had to give her Daddy the play by play because he couldn't stand to watch), and had her two month check up.

The doctor said that India is doing great. She is healthy and developing just as she should be. She is 23 1/2 inches tall and 11 lbs. 2.5 oz. This is average weight and she is in the 90th percentile for her height (as most basketball players are). India was really brave getting her shots. She held Mommy's hand to keep Mommy from crying. As you can see in the picture she received three different color band-aids. She was fussy that evening but overall they didn't seem to phase her.

India also got a Bumbo this week to help her to sit up and give her a totally different view of the world around her. We had to do something as she's been staring at white ceilings for much of her infant life. These things are the greatest inventions and we would highly recommend them to anyone.

Can you believe it?! In just 3 weeks she gets to travel to the East Coast to meet family and friends that she doesn't know exist. We are all really excited to see you all!!

We Love You,

Linwood, Sara, and India
